Geotechnical Engineering and Testing

Founded in 1985, Geotech Engineering and Testing (GET) is a multi-disciplined organization of registered engineers, geologist, field and laboratory technicians, and clerical personnel who combine their technical capabilities, past experience, dedication, and enthusiasm to offer the finest service through integrated team effort. GET has a staff of about 50 engineers, geologists, technicians, and support staff.

Our services include the following:

Geotechnical Engineering including soil borings and laboratory testing, engineering analysis and recommendations regarding foundations, paving, construction, slope stability, faulting, etc.
Construction Materials Engineering including earthwork, asphalt, steel, and concrete testing during construction.
Forensic Engineering, including foundation,retaining walls, slopes and paving distress studies.
Environmental Engineering including environmental site assessments, monitor well installations, and underground storage tank contamination studies.

Disadvantaged Enterprise

GET has been certified as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with the State of Texas, Texas Department of Transportation, Houston Independent School District and the Cities and Transit Authorities in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and Beaumont.
Insurance

Our insurance coverage includes $1,000,000 general liability insurance, auto, and worker's compensation. In addition, we carry professional liability insurance with errors and omissions with a $1,000,000 limit. GET maintains worker's compensation and employers liability insurance in conformance with applicable state law. Furthermore, we maintain comprehensive general liability and automobile liability insurance with bodily injury and property damage. A certificate of insurance can be supplied evidencing such coverage upon written request.

Accreditations

Geotech Engineering and Testing has qualifications equal to an ISO 9000 company. The firm has been accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The scope of our accreditation includes geotechnical, construction materials testing ASTM E329, C1077 for concrete, D3740 for soils and D-3666 bituminous. The firm has also been inspected by cement and concrete reference laboratory (CCRL) for concrete and aggregate testing. All of our equipment has been calibrated within the past 12 months.

The company maintains qualifications and procedures compatible with an ISO 9000 company and carries comprehensive liability insurance.
